Recently, I learned that we can make our Facebook page profile picture longer; up to 540 px longer, I believe. I’ve seen people with the bookmark style profile pics, but thought they paid someone to gussy up their Facebook page, not so.
To make the most of my Facebook page profile picture, I created a one column, four row table in Microsoft Word.
ROW 1: insert my picture
ROW 2: insert my logo
ROW 3: insert my URL
ROW 4: insert some keywords/phrases for my blog
When I finished making the image the way I liked, I clicked the Print Screen button and opened Microsoft Paint.
I pasted the screen image in paint, cropped the excess off until I got my new Facebook profile picture. The below image is 280 x 484; I’m certain Facebook cropped the width down to 180 px.
The reason I didn’t make it as big as the space allows is because I want people to be able to see the menu below (photos, welcome, info, etc). Probably doesn’t really matter, but my thought was that if people don’t see that there’s something below my image, they may not know to scroll down.
